Coreza
Core enterprise workflow acceleration and process management.
What it does
DirectPrint.io (recently rebranded as Coreza Print following its acquisition by Toshiba in late 2025) is a serverless, cloud-based print management solution. It was specifically built to solve the “printing gap” for cloud-first organizations, particularly those using Chromebooks and Google Workspace, but it has since expanded into a robust cross-platform tool.
Core Value
DirectPrint.io eliminates the need for complex on-premises print servers. It uses a Universal Print Driver that works across ChromeOS, Windows, and macOS, allowing IT admins to deploy and manage thousands of printers from a single web dashboard.
Key Features (2026 Status)
- Zero-Touch Deployment: Admins can automatically assign printers to users based on their Google Group, Microsoft Azure AD identity, or physical location (IP-based).
- Edge Print: Allows users to print securely from home or a remote office to the corporate printer without a VPN.
- Security & Compliance: Includes “Secure Print” (PIN release), which ensures documents aren't printed until the user is physically at the machine. It also features 256-bit encryption for all data in transit.
- Sustainability & “Print Nudge”: Provides smart features like “Duplex by Default” and “Smart Draft Mode” to reduce paper and toner waste. The “Print Nudge” pop-up encourages users to think twice before printing large or color documents.
- Vendor Neutral: Despite being owned by Toshiba, the platform remains OEM-independent, meaning it still supports over 5,000 printer models from brands like HP, Brother, Canon, and Xerox.
DirectPrint.io vs Traditional Print Server
| Feature | Traditional Print Server | DirectPrint.io (Coreza) |
|---|---|---|
| Infrastructure | Physical/Virtual Windows Servers. | Serverless (SaaS). |
| Driver Management | Manually install drivers for every model. | One Universal Driver for all models. |
| Primary OS | Windows-centric. | ChromeOS, Windows, & macOS. |
| Remote Printing | Requires VPN or complex setup. | Native “Edge Print” (No VPN needed). |
Bottom Line: If your company is moving away from local servers and wants a “set it and forget it” way to manage printing for a hybrid workforce — especially on Chromebooks — DirectPrint.io is the top-tier choice.
